Life, Love & Legacy: Dr. Saulius & Paula Alkaitis
Dear friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I must share some very sad news.
My beloved parents both died within months of each other in 2021; my father, Dr Saulius Alkaitis, of pneumonia and then my mother, Paula Alkaitis, followed him to the heavens. Only just now has the shock lessened enough to share this with you, our Alkaitis community.
Saulius left us with a treasure trove of golden formulations, a library, and research that we will carry on with. Dr Alkaitis Organics was one of the very first organic skin care brands, established in 1996, and we will keep his legacy alive and thriving.
We will continue to uphold the highest, most meticulous formulation and manufacturing standards, education, and customer service.

I was blessed to meet Dr. Alkaitis around 2003 while attending HHI in West Palm Beach, Fl.
I attended a talk he gave on his products and I was very impressed, not only with the products, but with the man himself. I was honored to have the opportunity to listen and learn from this man who had worked with 4 Nobel laureates! As an Intuitive, RN, and plant and nature lover, I was thrilled with his creations. He not only took time when he finished to allow me to pick his amazing brain, but he was more than happy to do so. Even as he was amazingly brilliant, I found him to be very down to earth and to carry a great joy of life.
Later, I met his lovely wife Paula by phone. I found her to be very kindhearted and pleasant as well.
As I travel through this life, I am always grateful to meet such authentic, happy people that truly understand what a gift life is. -People that have left lasting footprints that have enriched the lives of so many of us.
Although I have not yet met you Trish, I can only imagine your great joy in having such wonderful parents, as well as the great pain of adjusting to life here without them. My love and blessings go out to you. Know that your parents will always have a place in my heart. Sharon Saulenas
As a practicing LMFT for 3+ decades, I imagine that theirs was a love of abiding support and profound connection that your mum couldn’t bear to be without her beloved. They also must’ve known of your strength and resiliency, Trish, to be able to carry on while honoring and celebrating - even amidst your heartbreak - the love they gave to you. May your mourning be embraced by wonderful memories and warm gratitude for their gifts to you. My sincere condolences.
I’ve been using Alkaitis products since 2005 and swear by them. Never was there a more loving reason for a product launch, or a more effective motto for the wholesome than: If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your face! I’m so grateful for their love and legacy! May they forever rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Saulius many years ago when I chatted with him on the phone about his formulas. I’d discovered Dr. Alkaitis skin care while having a fantastic facial in CA. I was working in the organic beauty industry at the time and wanted to introduce his products to my clients in CO. He left the world better than he found it!
